One of the primary concerns regarding wearable electronic devices pertains to their power supply and autonomy. The harvesting of mechanical energy generated by body movement and vibrations can be achieved through the incorporation of piezoelectric materials into a suitable energy scavenging mechanism. For this purpose, 30 poly(vinylidenefluoride-trifluoroethylene) (P(VDF-TrFE)) 75/25 nanofibrous membranes were stacked and parallelly connected to charge a 1 µF capacitor. The resulting stored energy of 30 µJ at 10 Hz could be an interesting feature for wearable applications.
