A New Class of Relaxor Ferroelectric Polymer Exhibiting Ultrahigh Electromechanical Response at Low Electric Field
09-19, 09:50–10:10 (Europe/Vienna), Conference room

We report a new class of relaxor ferroelectric polymers, poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene-chlorofluoroethylene-fluorinated alkyne) (PVDF-TrFE-CFE-FA) tetrapolymer, that generate giant electrostriction at fields below 50 MV/m. Moreover, under a low DC bias of 20 MV/m, the tetrapolymer with about 2 % FA exhibits the electromechanical coupling factor k33 of 71% and the piezoelectric coefficient d33 value over 1,100 pm/V.
