The combined use of a corona discharge and a mist of micro-droplets of water will be highlighted. The latter will become charged when pushed through a dc corona. If these droplets are deposited on a filter web, they charge its microfibers all-around. The microdroplets will also collect highly reactive species from the corona. They can therefore also be used for the disinfection of pathogens on seeds.
