Single-crystal-derived ferroelectric optical fibers are fabricated by a reactive melt-in-tube thermal
drawing method, combining a PMN-PT single crystal and a silicate glass tube into an optical-fiber preform. They demonstrated a graded index optical waveguide, a suitable numerical aperture, and a low transmission loss
