An overview on the design and development of dielectric elastomer transducers for dynamic applications
This contribution deals with design of dynamic systems with dielectric elastomer (DE) transducers. We examine two applications: energy harvesting from ocean waves, and coil-free DE loudspeakers. We propose a modelling/design framework that encompasses different applications in which the DE dynamics are functional to the accomplishment of a task, and we show experimental results relative to the considered applications.
